英語表現の学び（３）

英語表現の３回目です。

今回もビジネス関係で利用できる表現を取り上げています。

● be attached to

「～に愛着を持っている」、「～に未練がある」という意味です。

(例文)
Incumbents are often too attached to current technologies and underestimate completely new technologies.

● on the marketing side

「マーケティングの観点から」という意味です。
marketingの代わりにfinancial, R&D, human resource 等の語句を入れて、自部門の見解や自らの専門的見地からの意見を述べることができます。

（例文１）
On the financial side, while M&A presents an attractive opportunity to accelerate growth, we must also balance it with investments in organic growth initiatives.

（例文２）
On the marketing side, integrating M&A activities requires a careful strategy to retain existing customers while also attracting new ones.

● not hold in this case

「このケースには当てはまらない」という意味の表現です。

The conventional approach to customer service doesn’t hold in this case; we need to adopt a more personalized and proactive approach to meet the needs of our customers.
